The MPY100AG is a Precision Multiplier-divider designed for general purpose application. In addition to four-quadrant multiplication, it also performs analogue square root and division without the bother of external amplifiers or potentiometers. Laser trimmed one-chip design offers the most in highly reliable operation with guaranteed accuracies. Because of the internal reference and pretrimmed accuracies the MPY100 does not have the restrictions of multiplier.

Instructions for Using MPY100AG
Supply Voltage (VDD):
- Ensure the supply voltage is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V to avoid damage to the device.
Output Voltage (VOUT):
- The maximum output voltage is limited to 5V. Design your circuit to handle this maximum value.
Input Voltage Range (VIN):
- The input voltage should be within 0V to 5V. Exceeding these limits can cause incorrect operation or damage.
Quiescent Current (IQ):
- The typical quiescent current is 10μA. This should be considered in power budget calculations.
Shutdown Current (ISD):
- When the device is in shutdown mode, the current consumption drops to 0.1μA. Use the shutdown feature to save power when not in use.
Bandwidth (fBW):
- The typical bandwidth is 1MHz. Ensure your application does not require higher frequencies.
Gain Error (GERR):
- The gain error is typically 0.5%. Account for this in precision applications.
Temperature Range (Toper):
- The operating temperature range is from -40°C to 85°C. Ensure the device operates within this range to maintain performance.
Storage Temperature (Tstg):
- Store the device between -65°C and 150°C to prevent damage.
Package Type (PKG):
- The MPY100AG is available in a SOT-23 package. Follow standard handling and soldering procedures for this package type.
Additional Notes:
- Always refer to the datasheet for detailed specifications and application notes.
- Use appropriate decoupling capacitors near the supply pins to ensure stable operation.
- For high-frequency applications, consider the parasitic capacitance and inductance effects.
