The DS1307 is a Real-Time Clock (RTC) IC manufactured by Dallas Semiconductor. It is an 8-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package) IC used to provide time and date information in digital format. It is used in a wide range of applications such as digital clocks, watches, calendars, and other timekeeping applications. The DS1307 is a low-power, full binary-coded decimal (BCD) clock/calendar plus 56 bytes of NV SRAM. It has an integrated oscillator and a power-sense circuit to detect power failures. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The end of the month date is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. Features: * Real-Time Clock (RTC) * 8-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package) * Low-power operation * 56 bytes of NV SRAM * Integrated oscillator * Power-sense circuit * Automatically adjusts for months with fewer than 31 days Applications: * Digital clocks * Watches * Calendars * Other timekeeping applications (For reference only)
