Instructions for Using DS2433S

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 2.8V to 5.5V.
    • The device can operate with a wide range of supply currents depending on the operation mode.
  2. 1-Wire Communication:

    • The DS2433S uses a 1-Wire protocol for communication.
    • Initialize the 1-Wire bus by sending a reset pulse and detecting the presence pulse.
    • Use the 1-Wire search algorithm to identify and communicate with multiple devices on the same bus.
  3. Memory Operations:

    • Read Memory:
      • Send the READ MEMORY command (0xF0) followed by the memory address.
      • The device will respond with the data stored at the specified address.
    • Write Memory:
      • Send the WRITE SCRATCHPAD command (0x0F) followed by the memory address and data.
      • To commit the data to memory, send the COPY SCRATCHPAD command (0x55).
    • Erase Memory:
      • Send the ERASE MEMORY command (0xC7) to erase the entire memory.
  4. Timing Considerations:

    • Ensure all timing parameters (tPD, tRST, tREC, tSU, tWH, tWL, tRH, tRL, tPP, tER) are adhered to for reliable operation.
    • Use appropriate delays between commands to avoid data corruption.
  5. Standby Mode:

    • To minimize power consumption, put the device into standby mode when not in use.
    • The device will automatically enter standby mode after completing a read or write operation.
  6. Handling and Storage:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Store the device in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and high humidity.
