Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Connect the VDD pin to the power source and the GND pin to the ground.
  2. Output Configuration:

    • The output current (IOUT) should not exceed 100mA continuously.
    • Connect the load to the OUT pin and ensure it is properly grounded.
  3. Quiescent and Shutdown Modes:

    • In normal operation, the quiescent current (IQ) is typically 10μA.
    • To enter shutdown mode, apply a low signal to the SHDN pin, reducing the current draw to approximately 1μA.
  4. Thermal Management:

    • Monitor the device temperature to avoid exceeding the thermal shutdown temperature (TSD) of 160°C.
    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating near the maximum current or in high ambient temperatures.
  5. Temperature Ranges:

    • The operating temperature range (TOPR) is from -40°C to 85°C.
    • The storage temperature range (TSTG) is from -65°C to 150°C.
  6. Output Voltage Regulation:

    • The output voltage (VOUT) should be regulated to 5.0V ± 0.1V when VDD is 5V and IOUT is 100mA.
