Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 4.5V to 5.5V.
    • Connect the ground (GND) pin to the system ground.
  2. Shutdown Mode:

    • To enter shutdown mode, set the SHDN pin to a high state.
    • The shutdown current is typically 1 μA at 25°C.
  3. Active Mode:

    • To activate the device, set the SHDN pin to a low state.
    • The active current consumption is typically 1.5 mA at 25°C with a 1 MHz SCLK frequency.
  4. Clocking:

    • Apply a serial clock (SCLK) signal to the device. The maximum output data rate (fODR) is 200 kSPS.
    • Ensure the SCLK frequency is within the specified range for proper operation.
  5. Data Output:

    • The device outputs 12-bit data. The data is available on the SDATA pin.
    • The data is read out in MSB-first format.
  6. Input Signal:

    • The input voltage range (VIN) should be between 0V and VDD.
    • Ensure the input signal is within this range to avoid damage or incorrect readings.
  7. Calibration:

    • Perform calibration if required to ensure accurate readings.
    • Refer to the device datasheet for specific calibration procedures.
  8. Environmental Conditions:

    • Operate the device within the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C to ensure reliable performance.
  9. Signal Quality:

    • The device has a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 72 dB and a total harmonic distortion (THD) of -80 dB at 1 kHz input.
  10. Nonlinearity:

    • The differential nonlinearity (DNL) is ±1 LSB and the integral nonlinearity (INL) is ±2 LSB over the full scale range at 25°C.
