Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VCC) is within the specified range of 2.7V to 6.0V.
    • Connect the ground (GND) pin to a stable ground reference.
  2. Initialization:

    • Before performing any read or write operations, ensure the device is powered on and stable.
    • Initialize the device by setting the chip select (CS) and output enable (OE) pins as required.
  3. Reading Data:

    • Set the chip select (CS) and output enable (OE) pins low to enable reading.
    • Apply the desired address to the address lines (A0-A16).
    • The data will be available on the data lines (D0-D7) after the access time.
  4. Writing Data:

    • Set the chip select (CS) and write enable (WE) pins low to enable writing.
    • Apply the desired address to the address lines (A0-A16).
    • Apply the data to be written to the data lines (D0-D7).
    • Maintain the write enable (WE) low for at least the minimum write cycle time (tWC).
  5. Erasing Data:

    • To erase a block or the entire chip, use the appropriate erase command sequence.
    • The device supports sector erase, block erase, and chip erase operations.
    • Ensure the erase command is followed by the necessary wait time to complete the erase cycle.
  6. Suspend/Resume:

    • During an erase operation, the device can be suspended by setting the chip select (CS) high.
    • Resume the erase operation by setting the chip select (CS) low again.
  7. Data Retention:

    • The device retains data for a minimum of 10 years under normal operating conditions.
  8. Temperature Considerations:

    • Ensure the operating temperature is within the specified range of -40°C to 85°C to avoid damage or data corruption.
  9. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge and physical damage.
    • Follow proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures when handling the device.
  10. Package Information:

    • The AT29C010A-90PI is available in 32-Pin Plastic DIP and 32-Pin PLCC packages.
    • Ensure the correct package type is used for your application.
