Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the power supply voltage is within the range of 3.0 V to 3.6 V.
    • Connect the power supply to the VCC pin and ground to the GND pin.
  2. USB Connection:

    • Connect the USB D+ and D- pins to the USB interface on your host device.
    • The device will draw power from the USB port if USB power is used.
  3. Analog Audio Connections:

    • Connect the analog audio input signals to the IN1L, IN1R, IN2L, and IN2R pins.
    • Connect the analog audio output signals from the OUT1L, OUT1R, OUT2L, and OUT2R pins to your speakers or headphones.
  4. Digital Audio Configuration:

    • Use the I2C interface to configure the PCM2900EG4. Connect the SCL and SDA pins to your microcontroller or processor.
    • Set the desired sampling rate and other parameters using the I2C commands provided in the datasheet.
  5. Standby Mode:

    • To enter standby mode, set the appropriate register bit via the I2C interface.
    • This reduces power consumption to 0.1 μA.
  6. Reset:

    • Use the RESET pin to reset the device. Pull the RESET pin low for at least 1 μs to initiate a reset.
  7. Software Installation:

    • Install the necessary drivers on your host computer to recognize the PCM2900EG4 as a USB audio device.
    • Use a compatible audio application to control and monitor the audio stream.
  8. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Ensure all connections are secure and properly soldered to prevent intermittent issues.

For detailed register settings and advanced configurations, refer to the datasheet and application notes provided by the manufacturer.
