Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect Vcc to a stable 5V supply.
    • Connect Vss to ground.
  2. Addressing:

    • Apply the desired address to the address lines (A0-A12).
    • Ensure all address lines are properly connected and stable before initiating read or write operations.
  3. Data Input/Output:

    • For write operations, apply the data to the data lines (D0-D7) and assert the Write Enable (WE) signal.
    • For read operations, ensure the Output Enable (OE) signal is active to allow data to be read from the data lines.
  4. Control Signals:

    • Chip Select (CS): Active low. Must be low to enable the device.
    • Output Enable (OE): Active low. Enables data output when low.
    • Write Enable (WE): Active low. Initiates a write operation when low.
    • Write Protect (WP): Active high. When high, write operations are inhibited.
  5. Write Operation:

    • Set CS low to select the device.
    • Apply the desired address to the address lines.
    • Apply the data to the data lines.
    • Assert WE low to initiate the write cycle.
    • Hold WE low for at least 5 ms to complete the write cycle.
    • Deassert WE to complete the operation.
  6. Read Operation:

    • Set CS low to select the device.
    • Apply the desired address to the address lines.
    • Assert OE low to enable data output.
    • Read the data from the data lines.
  7. Power-On Reset:

    • Ensure a clean power-on sequence to avoid undefined states.
    • It is recommended to include a power-on reset circuit to initialize the device properly.
  8. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Ensure proper heat dissipation if operating at high temperatures or under continuous load.
  9. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool environment to prevent moisture damage.
    • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions during handling and storage.
