Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (Vcc) is within the specified range of 1.7 V to 3.6 V.
    • Connect the Vcc pin to the positive power supply and the GND pin to the ground.
  2. Communication:

    • The M95080-WMN6TP supports I2C communication. Connect the SDA (data) and SCL (clock) pins to the corresponding lines on your I2C bus.
    • Set the device address using the A0, A1, and A2 pins if using 7-bit addressing, or use the default address if not modifying these pins.
  3. Initialization:

    • Initialize the I2C bus by setting the SDA and SCL lines high.
    • Send a start condition followed by the device address and read/write bit.
  4. Reading Data:

    • To read data, send the device address with the read bit set.
    • The device will respond with an acknowledgment (ACK).
    • Read the desired number of bytes from the device.
    • Send a stop condition to end the read operation.
  5. Writing Data:

    • To write data, send the device address with the write bit set.
    • The device will respond with an ACK.
    • Send the memory address where you want to write data.
    • Send the data bytes to be written.
    • The device will ACK each byte.
    • Send a stop condition to end the write operation.
  6. Write Protection:

    • The device has a hardware write protect feature. Connect the WP pin to Vcc to enable write protection.
    • When write protection is enabled, write operations will be ignored.
  7. Error Handling:

    • Monitor the ACK bits during communication to ensure successful data transfer.
    • If an ACK is not received, check the bus lines and device connections.
  8. Endurance and Data Retention:

    • The device is rated for up to 1,000,000 write/erase cycles.
    • Data retention is guaranteed for 100 years under normal operating conditions.
  9. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place to avoid moisture damage.
    • Handle the device with care to prevent static discharge and physical damage.
