Instructions for Use
Power Supply Connection:
- Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the
VDDpin. - Connect the negative terminal (ground) of the power supply to the
GNDpin.
- Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the
Output Connection:
- Connect the load to the
VOUTpin. - Ensure the load does not exceed the maximum output current of 100 mA.
- Connect the load to the
Capacitors:
- Place a 1 μF ceramic capacitor between
VDDandGNDas close to the device as possible to filter input noise. - Place a 1 μF ceramic capacitor between
VOUTandGNDto stabilize the output voltage.
- Place a 1 μF ceramic capacitor between
Thermal Considerations:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation if the device is operating near its maximum output current or in high ambient temperatures.
- The device will automatically shut down if the junction temperature exceeds 150°C to prevent damage.
PCB Layout:
- Use a ground plane to help dissipate heat and reduce noise.
- Keep traces short and wide to minimize resistance and inductance.
Storage and Handling:
- Store the device in a dry, cool place.
- Handle with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the device.
Testing:
- Before connecting the load, measure the output voltage to ensure it is within the expected range.
- Monitor the temperature and current during operation to ensure the device is functioning correctly.
