Instructions for Using the AD2S82AJPZ

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the VCC pin to a 5V supply within the range of 4.75V to 5.25V.
    • Ensure that the ground (GND) is properly connected to the system ground.
  2. Input Signal:

    • Apply the input signal to the SIN and COS pins. The input frequency should be within the range of 0 to 200 kHz.
    • The input signal should be differential and sinusoidal.
  3. Resolution Setting:

    • Set the desired resolution using the RES0, RES1, and RES2 pins. Refer to the datasheet for the specific binary coding of these pins to achieve the desired resolution (10 to 16 bits).
  4. Conversion Start:

    • To start a conversion, bring the CS (Chip Select) pin low and provide a pulse on the START pin.
    • The conversion time will depend on the selected resolution and the input frequency.
  5. Data Output:

    • The digital output data will be available on the D0 to D15 pins after the conversion is complete.
    • The data is ready when the DRDY (Data Ready) pin goes high.
    • Read the data in a MSB-first or LSB-first format as configured by the MODE pin.
  6. Output Data Rate:

    • The output data rate can be up to 200 kHz, depending on the input frequency and resolution.
  7. Temperature Considerations:

    • Ensure that the operating temperature remains within the range of -40°C to 85°C to maintain optimal performance.
  8. Package Handling:

    • Handle the 24-SSOP package with care to avoid damage to the pins and the device.
    • Follow standard ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions during handling and installation.
