Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect Vcc to the positive supply voltage (1.7V to 5.5V).
    • Connect Vss to ground.
  2. SPI Interface:

    • SCK: Serial Clock input.
    • SI: Serial Data Input.
    • SO: Serial Data Output.
    • CS: Chip Select (active low).
    • HOLD: Hold pin (active low) can be used to pause ongoing operations.
    • WP: Write Protect pin (active low) can be used to prevent write operations.
  3. Initialization:

    • Ensure CS is high to keep the device in standby mode.
    • To activate the device, bring CS low.
  4. Read Operation:

    • Set CS low.
    • Send the Read command (0x03).
    • Send the address (7-bit address followed by a read/write bit set to 0).
    • Clock out the data from SO.
  5. Write Operation:

    • Set CS low.
    • Send the Write Enable command (0x06).
    • Send the Write command (0x02).
    • Send the address (7-bit address followed by a read/write bit set to 1).
    • Send the data to be written.
    • Wait for the write cycle to complete (5 ms).
  6. Write Protect:

    • Set WP low to prevent any write operations.
    • Set WP high to allow write operations.
  7. Hold Function:

    • Set HOLD low to pause ongoing operations.
    • Set HOLD high to resume operations.
  8. Power Down:

    • Set CS high to put the device into standby mode.
    • Disconnect power when not in use to save energy.
  9. Endurance and Data Retention:

    • The device supports up to 1,000,000 write cycles.
    • Data retention is guaranteed for 100 years under normal operating conditions.

Notes:

  • Ensure that the supply voltage and clock frequency are within the specified ranges to avoid damage or incorrect operation.
  • For detailed timing diagrams and additional commands, refer to the datasheet provided by the manufacturer.
