Instructions for Use
Power Supply:
- Connect the VCC pin to the positive supply voltage (3.0 to 18V).
- Connect the GND pin to the ground.
Enable Inputs:
- The device has two enable inputs, ( overline ) and ( overline ). Both must be low (0V) for the decoder to operate.
- If either enable input is high, all outputs will be high (1).
Address Inputs:
- The address inputs (A0, A1, A2, A3) determine which of the 16 outputs will be active.
- The output corresponding to the binary value of the address inputs will be low (0V), while all other outputs will be high (1V).
Output States:
- Only one output will be low at any given time, corresponding to the binary address on the inputs.
- All other outputs will be high.
Handling:
- Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
- Ensure that the device is not subjected to voltages outside the specified operating range.
Testing:
- To test the device, apply different combinations of binary values to the address inputs and verify that the corresponding output goes low.
