Power Factor Correction and PWM Controller Combo
ML4824CS1 is an IC designed by Fairchild and part of its ML4800 family of Voltage-mode PWM controllers. This device is equipped with a precision internal oscillator, fast current sensing circuitry and temperature sensing for improved performance. The ML4824CS1 also includes a peak current-mode control, Output Discharge/Soft Start circuitry and internal bias regulator, making it suitable for telecom, consumer and industrial applications. The ML4824CS1 is available in a SOP16 package and is capable of providing up to 1.5A of output current with a wide range of input voltages from 4.5V to 40V. Its Output Voltage Control (OVC) pin can be used to generate a much higher system output voltage (up to 65V) when used in conjunction with an external capacitor.
