Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 4.75V to 5.25V.
    • Use a stable power supply to avoid noise and instability.
  2. Analog Input:

    • The analog input voltage should be within the differential range of -0.1V to 1.7V.
    • For optimal performance, center the input signal around 0.8V.
  3. Sampling Rate:

    • Set the sampling rate (fS) between 65 MSPS and 200 MSPS.
    • Higher sampling rates will increase power consumption.
  4. Power Consumption:

    • The power consumption (IDD) will vary with the sampling rate. At 200 MSPS, expect a typical current draw of 140 mA.
  5. Performance Metrics:

    • Monitor the SNR, SFDR, INL, and DNL to ensure the ADC is operating within specified parameters.
    • For best performance, use a clean, low-noise analog input signal.
  6. Digital Output:

    • The digital output is in CMOS format. Ensure the digital logic levels are compatible with your system.
  7. Temperature Range:

    • The device is designed to operate within the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
  8. Layout and Grounding:

    • Use proper PCB layout techniques to minimize noise and crosstalk.
    • Ensure a solid ground plane and decoupling capacitors close to the power pins.
  9. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry, static-free environment.
    • Handle with care to avoid damage to the pins and package.
  10. Testing:

    • Before integrating the AD9243ASZ into a larger system, test it using known signals to verify performance.
