Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (Vcc) is within the specified range of 4.5V to 5.5V.
    • Connect the ground (GND) pin to a stable ground reference.
  2. Addressing:

    • Apply the address signals (A0-A12) to the address pins before the address setup time (tAS).
    • Maintain the address signals stable during the access time (tAA).
  3. Data Input/Output:

    • Data input should be applied to the data pins (D0-D8) before the data setup time (tDS).
    • Data output will be valid after the access time (tAA) if the output enable (OE) is active.
  4. Control Signals:

    • The chip enable (CE) signal must be low to enable the device.
    • The write enable (WE) signal must be low to perform a write operation.
    • The output enable (OE) signal must be low to enable data output.
  5. Power Management:

    • To enter power-down mode, set the power-down (PD) signal high.
    • To exit power-down mode, set the power-down (PD) signal low and wait for the power-up time (tPU).
  6. Data Retention:

    • Data is retained for up to 10 years without power.
    • For optimal data retention, avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures outside the storage temperature range.
  7. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid damage to the pins and package.
    • Follow proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions to prevent damage to the device.
  8. Testing:

    • Before integrating the device into a system, perform basic functional tests to ensure it meets the specified parameters.
