The DS1642-100+ is a Nonvolatile Timekeeping RAM from Maxim Integrated Products. It is a 24-pin DIP (Dual Inline Package) device that provides a real-time clock/calendar, plus 56 bytes of static RAM. The DS1642-100+ is a low-power, highly accurate real-time clock/calendar with a built-in power-fail detect and reset circuit. It features a built-in oscillator and crystal, and can be operated in either 12- or 24-hour format. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The clock/calendar also has two programmable time-of-day alarms and a programmable square-wave output.
