Instructions for Use:
Power Supply:
- Ensure the supply voltage (VCC) is within the range of 2.1V to 5.5V.
- Connect the VCC pin to the power supply and GND to ground.
Output Configuration:
- The output frequency is fixed at 32.768kHz with a typical duty cycle of 50%.
- Ensure the load capacitance on the output is no more than 15pF to maintain the specified rise and fall times.
Shutdown Mode:
- To enter shutdown mode, apply a low voltage (0V to 1.0V) to the SHDN pin.
- To resume operation, apply a high voltage (2.0V to 5.5V) to the SHDN pin.
- In shutdown mode, the supply current drops to approximately 0.1μA.
Temperature Considerations:
- The device is designed to operate within the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
- Store the device within the storage temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
Layout and PCB Design:
- Place the device close to the power supply and ground planes to minimize noise.
- Use decoupling capacitors (typically 0.1μF) near the VCC pin to filter out any power supply noise.
Handling Precautions:
- Handle the device with care to avoid damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
- Follow proper soldering techniques to ensure reliable connections and prevent thermal damage.
