Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VCC) is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Connect a decoupling capacitor (typically 10μF) between VCC and GND to stabilize the power supply.
  2. Clock Configuration:

    • The bit clock (BCK) should be set between 2.822MHz and 11.288MHz.
    • The master clock (MCLK) should be an integer multiple of the bit clock.
  3. Data Format:

    • The AK4413EQ supports I2S, Left-Justified, Right-Justified, and DSD data formats.
    • Configure the data format using the control register settings.
  4. Signal Input:

    • The differential input voltage should not exceed 2.0Vpp.
    • Ensure the input signals are properly balanced and within the specified range.
  5. Power Management:

    • To enter standby mode, set the appropriate bit in the control register.
    • In standby mode, the power consumption drops to approximately 0.5μA.
  6. Temperature Considerations:

    • Operate the device within the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
    • Store the device within the same temperature range to avoid damage.
  7. Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR):

    • The SNR is measured with A-weighting over the frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz.
    • Ensure the system design minimizes external noise sources to achieve the best performance.
  8. Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise (THD+N):

    • The THD+N is measured at 1kHz with a 0dBFS signal level.
    • Keep the signal path clean and avoid overdriving the inputs to maintain low distortion.
  9. Channel Separation:

    • The channel separation is measured over the frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz.
    • Proper layout and shielding can help improve channel separation.
  10. Dynamic Range:

    • The dynamic range is also measured with A-weighting over the frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz.
    • Optimize the analog front-end and back-end stages to maximize the dynamic range.
