Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure proper heat sinking if operating near maximum current or power dissipation.
    • Avoid mechanical stress on the leads during soldering and handling.
  2. Soldering:

    • Use a temperature-controlled soldering iron with a maximum tip temperature of 300掳C.
    • Soldering time should not exceed 10 seconds per joint.
    • Allow the diode to cool down to room temperature before applying any electrical stress.
  3. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the anode (A) to the positive side of the circuit and the cathode (K) to the negative side.
    • Ensure the reverse voltage does not exceed the maximum rated value of 20V to prevent breakdown.
  4. Storage:

    • Store the diode in a dry, cool place within the specified storage temperature range.
    • Handle with care to avoid damage to the leads and body.
  5. Testing:

    • Use a multimeter to check for continuity between the anode and cathode. The diode should show low resistance in the forward direction and high resistance in the reverse direction.
    • For more detailed testing, refer to the datasheet for specific test conditions and procedures.
  6. Handling:

    • Use appropriate ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection measures to avoid damaging the diode.
    • Do not touch the leads or body of the diode with bare hands; use tweezers or other tools as needed.
