Instructions for Use:
Mounting:
- Ensure the leads are bent to fit the PCB layout before soldering.
- Avoid excessive bending or twisting of the leads to prevent damage.
Soldering:
- Use a temperature-controlled soldering iron set to no more than 260°C.
- Solder each lead for no longer than 10 seconds to avoid thermal stress.
Electrical Connections:
- Connect the anode (longer lead) to the positive supply.
- Connect the cathode (shorter lead) to the negative supply or ground.
- Use a current-limiting resistor to ensure the forward current does not exceed 30mA continuously or 100mA in pulse mode.
Handling:
- Handle with care to avoid mechanical damage.
- Store in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture damage.
Environmental Considerations:
- The device is RoHS compliant and free from harmful substances.
- Dispose of the device according to local environmental regulations.
Testing:
- Before final assembly, test the LED using a known good power supply and current-limiting resistor to ensure proper operation.
Storage:
- Store the device in its original packaging until ready for use to protect against static discharge and physical damage.
