Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the VCC pin to the power supply voltage (3.0V to 5.5V).
    • Connect the GND pin to the ground.
  2. Signal Lines:

    • Connect the A and B pins to the differential data lines for RS-485/422 communication.
    • Ensure proper termination resistors (120Ω) are used at the ends of the bus to prevent signal reflections.
  3. Driver Control:

    • Use the DE (Driver Enable) and RE (Receiver Enable) pins to control the direction of data transmission.
    • Set DE high and RE low to enable the driver (transmit mode).
    • Set DE low and RE high to enable the receiver (receive mode).
  4. Data Input/Output:

    • Connect the DI (Data Input) pin to the microcontroller or other data source when transmitting.
    • Connect the RO (Receiver Output) pin to the microcontroller or other data destination when receiving.
  5. ESD Protection:

    • The device includes built-in ESD protection, but handle the IC with care to avoid damage from static electricity.
  6. Layout Considerations:

    • Keep the layout compact to minimize noise and interference.
    • Use decoupling capacitors (0.1μF) close to the VCC and GND pins to ensure stable operation.
  7. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the IC in a dry, cool place.
    • Follow standard ESD handling procedures to prevent damage during handling and installation.
