Instructions for Use:
Power Supply:
- Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the specified range (4.5V to 5.5V).
- Connect the ground (GND) pin to the system ground.
Input Signal:
- Apply the input current (IF) within the range of 10mA to 50mA.
- The forward voltage (VF) should be between 1.1V and 1.5V when IF is 20mA.
- Avoid applying reverse voltage (VR) greater than -2V.
Output Signal:
- The output high voltage (VOH) should be at least 4.5V when no load current is present.
- The output low voltage (VOL) should be less than 0.4V when the load current is 16mA.
Timing Parameters:
- The propagation delay time (tpd) should be between 1μs and 3μs.
- The rise time (tr) and fall time (tf) should be between 0.5μs and 1.5μs.
Temperature Considerations:
- Operate the device within the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
- Store the device within the temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.
Handling:
- Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
- Follow proper soldering techniques to ensure reliable connections.
Testing:
- Verify all connections and parameters using a multimeter or oscilloscope before finalizing the circuit.
By following these instructions, you can ensure optimal performance and reliability of the HCPL-7860 optocoupler in your application.
