Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to Pin 1.
    • Connect the ground (GND) to Pin 2.
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Connect the output voltage (VOUT) to Pin 3.
    • Use external resistors to set the desired output voltage according to the formula: [ V_ = V_ left(1 + fracright) ] where ( V_ = 0.8V ).
  3. Frequency Setting:

    • Connect an external resistor to Pin 4 to set the switching frequency. The relationship between the resistor value and frequency is given by: [ f_ = frac{1}{1.1 times R_f times 10^{-9}} ] where ( R_f ) is in ohms.
  4. Enable/Disable:

    • Connect Pin 5 to GND to disable the device or to VIN to enable it.
  5. Feedback:

    • Connect the feedback pin (Pin 6) to the voltage divider formed by ( R_1 ) and ( R_2 ).
  6. Bootstrapping:

    • Connect Pin 7 to the bootstrap capacitor (typically 0.1μF) which should be placed between Pin 7 and VOUT.
  7. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure proper heat dissipation by using a heatsink if necessary, especially when operating at high output currents.
  8. Capacitors:

    • Use ceramic capacitors with low ESR for input and output filtering. Typical values are 10μF for input and 10μF for output.
  9. Layout Guidelines:

    • Keep the traces short and wide to minimize inductance and resistance.
    • Place the input and output capacitors as close as possible to the IC.
  10. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
    • Handle with care to avoid static discharge which can damage the device.
