Instructions:

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the power supply within the specified range (2.7V to 5.5V).
    • Ensure the ground (GND) is properly connected.
  2. Enable Control:

    • Apply a voltage greater than 1.2V to the enable pin (EN) to turn on the device.
    • To disable the device, apply a voltage less than 1.2V or leave the EN pin floating.
  3. Load Connection:

    • Connect the load between the output (VOUT) and ground (GND).
    • Ensure the load current does not exceed 1.5A to avoid overheating and potential damage.
  4. Protection Features:

    • The device includes under-voltage lockout (UVLO) which turns off the device if the input voltage drops below 2.3V.
    • Over-voltage protection (OVP) will turn off the device if the output voltage exceeds 6.0V.
    • Thermal shutdown (TSD) will activate if the device temperature reaches 150°C to prevent damage.
  5. Operating and Storage Conditions:

    • Operate the device within the specified temperature range (-40°C to 85°C) for optimal performance.
    • Store the device in a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
  6. Layout Considerations:

    • Use short, wide traces for power and ground connections to minimize inductance and resistance.
    • Place bypass capacitors close to the input and output pins to filter noise and ensure stable operation.
  7. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the internal circuits.
    • Follow proper soldering techniques to ensure reliable connections and avoid thermal stress.
