Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply Connections:

    • Connect VDD1 and VSS1 to the power supply and ground on the primary side.
    • Connect VDD2 and VSS2 to the power supply and ground on the secondary side.
    • Ensure that both sides have a stable power supply within the specified range (3.0 V to 5.5 V).
  2. Signal Connections:

    • Connect the input signals to the IN1 and IN2 pins.
    • Connect the output signals from the OUT1 and OUT2 pins to the respective destinations.
  3. Grounding:

    • Ensure proper grounding on both sides to maintain signal integrity and reduce noise.
  4. Decoupling Capacitors:

    • Place decoupling capacitors (0.1 μF) close to the VDD1/VSS1 and VDD2/VSS2 pairs to filter out high-frequency noise.
  5. Layout Considerations:

    • Keep the traces between the isolator and other components as short as possible to minimize signal degradation.
    • Use a ground plane to shield the signal traces and reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI).
  6. Operating Environment:

    • Operate the device within the specified temperature range (-40°C to +125°C) to ensure reliable performance.
    • Avoid exposing the device to excessive humidity or corrosive environments.
  7. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical damage.
    • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions to prevent damage to the device.
  8. Testing:

    • Before integrating the device into a system, test it individually to ensure it meets the required specifications.
    • Use appropriate test equipment and methods to verify the performance parameters such as propagation delay, data rate, and CMTI.
