Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the power supply within the range of 3.0V to 5.5V.
    • Ensure the output voltage (VOUT) is within the same range as VIN.
  2. Enable Pin (EN):

    • Apply a voltage greater than 1.2V to the EN pin to enable the device.
    • The device will turn on when the EN pin voltage exceeds the enable threshold (1.12V to 1.28V).
    • The device will turn off when the EN pin voltage falls below the disable threshold (0.96V to 1.12V).
  3. Load Connection:

    • Connect the load between VOUT and ground.
    • Ensure the load current does not exceed the maximum load current of 1.5A.
  4. Overcurrent Protection:

    • The device has built-in overcurrent protection that limits the output current to approximately 1.6A.
    • If the current exceeds this limit, the device will shut down to prevent damage.
  5. Thermal Management:

    • The device will automatically shut down if the temperature exceeds 160°C to prevent thermal damage.
    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation and cooling to maintain the operating temperature within the specified range (-40°C to 85°C).
  6. Storage:

    • Store the device in a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C to ensure long-term reliability.
  7. Testing and Troubleshooting:

    • Verify the input and output voltages using a multimeter.
    • Check the enable pin voltage to ensure it meets the required thresholds.
    • Monitor the load current to ensure it does not exceed the maximum rating.
    • If the device does not function as expected, check for proper connections and ensure the device is not overheating.
