Instructions

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the power supply to the VCC pin and ground to the GND pin.
    • Ensure the power supply voltage is within the specified range (2.7 V to 5.25 V).
  2. Analog Input:

    • Connect the analog audio signals to the INP+ and INM+ pins for the left channel, and INP- and INM- pins for the right channel.
    • For differential inputs, connect both INP and INM pins.
    • For single-ended inputs, connect the signal to INP and ground to INM.
  3. Digital Interface:

    • Connect the digital output pins (BCK, LRCK, SDOUT) to your microcontroller or DSP.
    • Configure the interface mode (I2S, Left-justified, Right-justified, DSP) via the MODE pins or software configuration.
  4. Clock Input:

    • Provide an external clock signal to the BCK pin. The clock frequency should be within the specified range (3.072 MHz to 24.576 MHz).
    • Ensure the clock signal is stable and clean to avoid jitter.
  5. Shutdown Mode:

    • To enter shutdown mode, set the SHDN pin to high.
    • In shutdown mode, the device consumes minimal power (1 μA).
  6. Initialization:

    • After powering up, initialize the device by configuring the necessary registers via the digital interface.
    • Refer to the datasheet for specific register settings and initialization sequences.
  7. Data Conversion:

    • Once initialized, the ADC will start converting the analog input signals to digital data.
    • Read the digital data from the SDOUT pin using the configured digital interface.
  8. Testing:

    • Test the device by inputting a known analog signal and verifying the digital output.
    • Use an oscilloscope or logic analyzer to monitor the digital signals and ensure proper operation.
  9. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions when handling and soldering the device.
