Instructions for Using MAX6658MSA+

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VCC) is within the range of 4.5V to 5.5V.
    • The device operates over a temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.
  2. Shutdown Mode:

    • In shutdown mode, the current consumption (ISD) is typically 1μA when VCC is 5V.
    • Use the shutdown pin to control power consumption during idle periods.
  3. Active Mode:

    • In active mode, the current consumption (IOP) is typically 90μA at VCC = 5V.
    • Ensure the device has sufficient power for continuous operation.
  4. Temperature Sensing:

    • Connect the temperature sensor input (VIN) to the appropriate sensor.
    • The temperature conversion time (TCONV) is 240ms.
  5. Temperature Accuracy:

    • The temperature accuracy (ΔT) is ±1°C over the range of -25°C to +100°C.
  6. Temperature Range:

    • The device can measure temperatures from -40°C to +125°C.
  7. Output Data Rate:

    • The output data rate (ODR) can be configured from 0.25Hz to 8Hz.
    • Adjust the data rate based on the application requirements.
  8. SMBus/Two-Wire Interface:

    • Use the SMBus or Two-Wire interface to communicate with the device.
    • Ensure the communication protocol is correctly implemented for reliable data transfer.
