Instructions for Use
Mounting:
- Ensure the PCB layout follows the recommended guidelines to minimize noise and improve thermal performance.
- Place the component on the PCB with the correct orientation, ensuring that the pin 1 marker aligns with the PCB silkscreen.
Soldering:
- Use a soldering iron or reflow oven with a temperature profile suitable for the SOT-23 package.
- Avoid excessive heat to prevent damage to the component.
Input and Output Capacitors:
- Connect a 1渭F ceramic capacitor between the input and ground pins as close to the device as possible.
- Connect a 1渭F ceramic capacitor between the output and ground pins to stabilize the output voltage.
Heat Dissipation:
- For applications requiring high output current, ensure adequate PCB copper area for heat dissipation.
- Consider adding a heatsink if the thermal resistance needs to be reduced further.
Testing:
- Verify the input and output voltages using a multimeter to ensure the regulator is functioning correctly.
- Check the quiescent current to ensure it meets the specified value.
Storage:
- Store the components in a dry, cool place to avoid moisture damage.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions to prevent damage during handling.
