Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VCC) is within the specified range of 2.0V to 5.5V.
    • The quiescent current (IQ) is typically 100μA at 2.7V.
  2. Shutdown Mode:

    • To enter shutdown mode, set the shutdown pin (SHDN) to a low state.
    • The shutdown current (ISD) is typically 1μA at 2.7V.
  3. Oscillator Configuration:

    • Connect an external resistor (RT) to the oscillator pin to set the frequency.
    • For example, using a 330kΩ resistor will result in an oscillator frequency of approximately 1.2MHz at 2.7V.
  4. Output Configuration:

    • The output voltage high (VOH) should be at least 4.5V when sourcing 0.4mA and VCC is 5.5V.
    • The output voltage low (VOL) should be no more than 0.2V when sinking 0.4mA and VCC is 2.7V.
    • The maximum output current (sink or source) is 20mA at 5.5V.
  5. Temperature Considerations:

    • The operating temperature range is from 0°C to 70°C for commercial use.
    • The storage temperature range is from -40°C to 85°C.
  6. General Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid electrostatic discharge (ESD).
    • Ensure all connections are secure and meet the specified electrical parameters.
  7. Application Notes:

    • Refer to the datasheet for detailed application circuits and examples.
    • For optimal performance, follow the recommended PCB layout guidelines provided in the datasheet.
