Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure the diode is mounted on a heatsink if operating near the maximum power dissipation.
    • Use appropriate mounting hardware to secure the diode and ensure good thermal contact.
  2. Soldering:

    • Preheat the PCB to 100°C to 150°C before soldering.
    • Soldering temperature should not exceed 260°C.
    • Soldering time should not exceed 10 seconds.
  3. Handling:

    • Handle the diode with care to avoid mechanical stress.
    • Avoid touching the leads or body of the diode with bare hands to prevent contamination.
  4. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the anode to the positive side of the circuit.
    • Connect the cathode to the negative side of the circuit.
    • Ensure that the reverse voltage does not exceed the maximum rating to prevent damage.
  5. Testing:

    • Use a multimeter to test the diode for continuity.
    • The diode should show a low resistance in the forward direction and high resistance in the reverse direction.
  6. Storage:

    • Store the diode in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
    • Keep the diode in its original packaging until ready for use to protect against static discharge.
