Instructions for Use:
Input Voltage (VIN):
- Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 2.9V to 5.5V.
- The input voltage should be stable and free from excessive ripple or noise.
Battery Float Voltage (VFB):
- Set the battery float voltage between 3.8V and 4.2V depending on the battery chemistry and requirements.
- Use the VFB pin to set the desired float voltage.
Charge Current (ICHG):
- The maximum charge current is 500mA.
- Adjust the charge current by setting the appropriate resistor value on the ISET pin.
Shutdown Mode:
- In shutdown mode, the supply current is reduced to 0.1渭A.
- Enter shutdown mode by pulling the SHDN pin low.
Operating and Storage Temperature:
- Operate the device within the temperature range of -40掳C to 85掳C.
- Store the device within the temperature range of -65掳C to 150掳C.
Thermal Shutdown:
- The device will automatically shut down if the temperature exceeds 160掳C to prevent damage.
Battery Reverse Blocking:
- The device blocks reverse battery connection up to -0.3V to protect the circuit.
Battery Disconnect and Reconnect:
- The battery disconnects when the voltage drops below 2.9V and reconnects when it rises above 2.8V.
Charge Termination Timer:
- The charge termination timer is set to 12 to 14 hours to prevent overcharging.
- The timer can be adjusted using external components.
