Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure that the VCC supply voltage is within the specified range of 4.5V to 5.5V.
    • The VPP programming voltage should be set to 12.0V ± 0.5V.
  2. Programming:

    • To program the device, apply the VPP voltage to the appropriate pin and follow the programming algorithm provided in the datasheet.
    • Each byte takes approximately 10 milliseconds to program.
  3. Reading Data:

    • Apply the VCC supply voltage and use the address lines to select the desired memory location.
    • The data will be available on the data lines after the access time of 100 nanoseconds.
  4. Erase:

    • To erase the device, expose it to ultraviolet (UV) light for at least 20 minutes. The UV window on the package must be uncovered during this process.
  5. Temperature Considerations:

    • The device is designed to operate within the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
    • For storage, ensure the temperature does not exceed -65°C to +150°C.
  6. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
    • Store the device in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
  7. Power Dissipation:

    • Ensure that the power dissipation does not exceed 500 milliwatts to avoid overheating.
  8. Current Consumption:

    • In standby mode, the device consumes approximately 10 microamperes.
    • During active operation, the current consumption is around 15 milliamperes at 5V and 5MHz.
