Instructions

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Connect the power supply to the VDD and GND pins.
  2. Reset:

    • To reset the counter, apply a low pulse to the RST pin for at least 1 μs.
  3. Input Signal:

    • Connect the input signal to the CLK pin. The maximum input frequency is 20 MHz.
  4. Counter Configuration:

    • Set the counter resolution by configuring the appropriate registers. The counter can be set to 1 to 32 bits.
  5. Reading the Counter:

    • Use the read cycle time (tRW) to ensure proper timing when reading the counter value. The typical read/write cycle time is 100 ns to 200 ns.
  6. Output:

    • The output load current (IOL) should not exceed 24 mA per pin.
    • Ensure the output high voltage (VOH) and output low voltage (VOL) levels are within the specified ranges.
  7. Temperature Considerations:

    • Operate the device within the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
    • Store the device within the temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
  8. Standby Mode:

    • To enter standby mode, set the appropriate register bit. The typical supply current in standby mode is 0.1 μA to 0.2 μA.
  9. Programming:

    • Refer to the device datasheet for detailed programming instructions and register configurations.
