Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the VCC pin to the positive terminal of your power supply.
    • Connect the GND pin to the ground terminal of your power supply.
  2. Output Connection:

    • The OUT pin is an open collector output. Connect it to the input of your microcontroller or other device.
    • A pull-up resistor (typically 4.7kΩ to 10kΩ) should be connected between the OUT pin and VCC to ensure a high state when no magnetic field is detected.
  3. Magnetic Field Detection:

    • Place a magnet near the sensor. The sensor will detect the magnetic field and the output will go low (0V).
    • When the magnet is removed, the output will return to high (VCC level).
  4. Mounting:

    • Ensure the sensor is securely mounted in the desired location.
    • For surface mount applications, solder the sensor directly to the PCB.
    • For through-hole applications, insert the pins into the PCB and solder them in place.
  5. Testing:

    • Apply power to the sensor.
    • Bring a magnet close to the sensor and observe the output state change.
    • Use a multimeter to verify the output voltage levels.
  6. Handling:

    • Handle the sensor with care to avoid damage.
    • Avoid exposing the sensor to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  7. Troubleshooting:

    • If the sensor does not respond, check the power connections and ensure the pull-up resistor is correctly installed.
    • Verify that the magnet is strong enough and positioned correctly relative to the sensor.
