Instructions

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the VCC pin.
    • Connect the negative terminal of the power supply to the GND pin.
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Connect the output capacitor (typically 10 μF) between the Vout pin and GND.
    • Adjust the output voltage using the external resistor network connected to the FB (feedback) pin.
  3. Enable Control:

    • To enable the regulator, apply a voltage greater than the enable threshold (VEN) to the EN pin.
    • To disable the regulator, apply a voltage less than the enable threshold to the EN pin.
  4. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation by providing a heat sink or thermal pad if operating at high output currents.
    • Keep the ambient temperature within the specified operating range to avoid thermal shutdown.
  5. Capacitor Selection:

    • Use ceramic capacitors with low ESR for the input and output capacitors to ensure stability and minimize ripple.
    • For the input capacitor, a value of 1 μF to 10 μF is recommended.
    • For the output capacitor, a value of 10 μF to 100 μF is recommended.
  6. PCB Layout:

    • Place the input and output capacitors as close as possible to the respective pins to minimize parasitic inductance.
    • Ensure a clean and short ground plane to reduce noise and improve performance.
  7. Shutdown Mode:

    • To put the regulator into shutdown mode, pull the EN pin low. The quiescent current will drop to the shutdown current level (ISD).
  8. Output Voltage Adjustment:

    • The output voltage can be adjusted using the formula: [ V_ = V_ left(1 + fracright) ] where ( V_ ) is the reference voltage (typically 0.9 V), ( R1 ) is the resistor connected between Vout and FB, and ( R2 ) is the resistor connected between FB and GND.

By following these parameters and instructions, you can effectively use the AR8035-AL1B in your design.
