Instructions for Using LC4128V-27TN100C
Power Supply:
- Connect the Vcc pin to a power supply between 2.7V and 5.5V.
- Connect the GND pin to ground.
Initialization:
- Apply a reset signal to the RST pin to initialize the controller.
- Set the function register using the
Function Set
command to configure the interface data length, number of display lines, and font size.
Display Control:
- Use the
Display On/Off Control
command to turn the display on or off. - Use the
Cursor On/Off Control
command to control the cursor and blink settings.
- Use the
Data Transfer:
- Use the 4-bit or 8-bit parallel interface to send commands and data to the controller.
- Ensure the E (Enable) pin is used to latch the data into the controller.
Addressing:
- Use the
Set DDRAM Address
command to set the address of the display data RAM (DDRAM). - Use the
Read/Write DDRAM
commands to read from or write to the DDRAM.
- Use the
Custom Characters:
- Define custom characters by writing to the CGRAM (Character Generator RAM).
- Use the
Set CGRAM Address
command to set the address of the CGRAM. - Write the custom character data using the
Write CGRAM
command.
Temperature Compensation:
- For optimal performance, ensure the operating temperature is within the specified range (-20°C to +70°C).
Power Management:
- To reduce power consumption, use the
Entry Mode Set
command to set the display in a low-power mode when not in use.
- To reduce power consumption, use the
Timing Considerations:
- Follow the timing diagrams provided in the datasheet to ensure proper communication with the controller.
- Ensure the maximum clock frequency does not exceed 10 MHz.
Storage:
- Store the device in a dry environment and avoid exposing it to temperatures outside the storage temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
