Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the Vcc pin to a 5V supply.
    • Ground the GND pin.
  2. Analog Inputs:

    • Connect the analog signals to the IN0 to IN7 pins.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 0 to Vcc.
  3. Digital Outputs:

    • The digital outputs (D0 to D7) will provide the 8-bit binary output corresponding to the analog input.
    • Ensure the load on each output does not exceed the specified current limits.
  4. Channel Selection:

    • Use the A, B, and C address lines to select the desired channel.
    • For example, to select channel 0, set A = 0, B = 0, and C = 0.
  5. Start Conversion:

    • Set the START pin high to initiate the conversion process.
    • The conversion time is approximately 100 μs.
  6. End of Conversion (EOC):

    • Monitor the EOC pin to determine when the conversion is complete.
    • The EOC pin goes high when the conversion is finished.
  7. Output Latch Enable (OE):

    • Set the OE pin high to enable the output latch and read the digital output.
    • Set the OE pin low to disable the output latch.
  8. Clock Signal:

    • Provide a clock signal to the CLK pin with a frequency between 10 kHz and 1280 kHz.
    • The internal conversion process is synchronized with this clock signal.
  9. Temperature Considerations:

    • Ensure the operating temperature is within the range of -40°C to 85°C.
  10. Powering Down:

    • To power down the ADC0809, disconnect the Vcc supply or set it to a low voltage level.

By following these instructions, you can effectively use the ADC0809CCV for analog-to-digital conversion in your projects.
