Instructions for Use:
- Power Supply: Ensure that the supply voltage (VDD) is within the specified range of 3 V to 15 V.
- Input Levels: Apply high-level input voltages (VIH) greater than or equal to 0.7 × VDD and low-level input voltages (VIL) less than or equal to 0.3 × VDD.
- Output Levels: The high-level output voltage (VOH) should be at least VDD - 0.5 V when sourcing 100 μA, and the low-level output voltage (VOL) should be no more than 0.5 V when sinking 1.6 mA.
- Current Limits: Do not exceed the maximum input current of ±1 μA and the maximum output current of -100 μA (source) and 1.6 mA (sink).
- Propagation Delay: The typical propagation delay time (tpd) is 25 ns at VDD = 5 V and TA = 25°C.
- Temperature Ranges: Operate the device within the commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C and store it within the storage temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
- 3-State Operation: The HCF4028 has a 3-state enable input. When enabled, the outputs will reflect the decoded BCD input. When disabled, the outputs will be in a high-impedance state.
