Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect Vcc to the positive supply voltage (1.7V to 5.5V).
    • Connect GND to the ground.
  2. Pin Configuration:

    • Pin 1 (Vcc): Positive supply voltage.
    • Pin 2 (GND): Ground.
    • Pin 3 (A0): Address input bit 0.
    • Pin 4 (A1): Address input bit 1.
    • Pin 5 (A2): Address input bit 2.
    • Pin 6 (SDA): Serial data line.
    • Pin 7 (SCL): Serial clock line.
    • Pin 8 (WP): Write protect (active low).
  3. Communication Protocol:

    • The READ2302GSP uses I2C protocol for communication.
    • SDA and SCL lines must be pulled up with external resistors (typically 4.7k惟 to 10k惟).
  4. Addressing:

    • The device has a 7-bit I2C address, which can be configured using the A0, A1, and A2 pins.
    • Default address is 0x50 if all address pins are grounded.
  5. Read Operation:

    • Start condition on SDA and SCL.
    • Send the device address followed by a read bit (R/W = 1).
    • Device acknowledges.
    • Data bytes are read from the device.
    • Stop condition on SDA and SCL.
  6. Write Operation:

    • Start condition on SDA and SCL.
    • Send the device address followed by a write bit (R/W = 0).
    • Device acknowledges.
    • Send the memory address where data will be written.
    • Device acknowledges.
    • Send the data bytes to be written.
    • Device acknowledges each byte.
    • Stop condition on SDA and SCL.
  7. Write Protect:

    • Set WP pin to high to enable write protection.
    • Set WP pin to low to allow writing to the device.
  8. Data Retention:

    • Data is retained for up to 100 years under specified operating conditions.
  9. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Ensure proper grounding and power supply stability during operation.
