Instructions for Use

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure the sensor is mounted in a location that accurately reflects the temperature you wish to measure.
    • Avoid mounting near heat sources or in areas with high electromagnetic interference.
  2. Wiring:

    • Connect the two leads of the sensor to your measurement circuit.
    • The positive lead should be connected to the power supply, and the negative lead should be connected to ground.
  3. Calibration:

    • Measure the resistance of the sensor at a known temperature (e.g., 25°C) to calibrate your system.
    • Use the sensitivity (α) value to calculate the temperature based on changes in resistance.
  4. Operation:

    • Apply a constant current to the sensor and measure the voltage drop across it to determine the resistance.
    • Convert the resistance to temperature using the formula: [ T = frac{R - R_0}{alpha} ] where ( T ) is the temperature, ( R ) is the measured resistance, ( R_0 ) is the resistance at 25°C, and ( alpha ) is the sensitivity.
  5. Handling:

    • Handle the sensor with care to avoid damage.
    • Do not exceed the maximum operating voltage or temperature range to prevent damage to the sensor.
  6. Storage:

    • Store the sensor in a dry, cool place to ensure its longevity.
