Instructions for L298N-HXY
Power Supply Connection:
- Connect the logic supply voltage (Vss) to a 5V source.
- Connect the motor supply voltage (Vs) to a power source between 4.5V and 36V.
Motor Connections:
- Connect motors to the output terminals OUT1, OUT2 and OUT3, OUT4 corresponding to the two H-bridge channels.
Control Inputs:
- Connect control signals to IN1, IN2, IN3, and IN4 to drive the motors in forward, reverse, brake, or high impedance states.
- Use ENABLE pins to enable or disable the outputs independently for each channel.
PWM Control:
- Apply PWM signals to the ENABLE pins for speed control of the motors up to a frequency of 20kHz.
Heat Dissipation:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation as the device can get hot under continuous operation, especially at higher currents.
Protection:
- The L298N-HXY has built-in overcurrent and thermal shutdown protections to safeguard against damage.
Grounding:
- Ensure all grounds are connected properly to avoid noise issues and ensure reliable operation.
Capacitors:
- Place decoupling capacitors close to the power supply pins to stabilize the power supply and reduce noise.
