Instructions:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the VCC pin to a stable power supply within the specified range (4.5 V to 5.5 V).
    • Connect the GND pin to the ground.
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the OUT pin to a pull-up resistor (typically 1 kΩ to 10 kΩ) to the supply voltage.
    • The output will be low (0.4 V max) when the magnetic field exceeds the BOP threshold and high (open collector) otherwise.
  3. Magnetic Field Application:

    • Place the sensor in a position where the magnetic field from a magnet or other source can be detected.
    • Ensure the magnetic field strength is within the operational range to trigger the sensor.
  4. Temperature Considerations:

    • Operate the sensor within the specified temperature range (-40°C to 85°C) for optimal performance.
    • Store the sensor in a dry environment within the storage temperature range (-40°C to 150°C).
  5. Handling:

    • Handle the sensor with care to avoid damage to the leads or the package.
    • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions to prevent damage to the device.
  6. Testing:

    • Test the sensor by applying a known magnetic field and verifying the output state using a multimeter or oscilloscope.
  7. Mounting:

    • Mount the sensor on a PCB using standard SMT (Surface Mount Technology) techniques.
    • Ensure proper soldering and alignment during assembly.
