Instructions for Use:

  1. Input Capacitor Selection:

    • Choose a ceramic capacitor with low ESR and ESL.
    • Recommended value: 10 渭F to 47 渭F.
  2. Output Capacitor Selection:

    • Use a ceramic capacitor for stability and low ripple.
    • Recommended value: 10 渭F to 22 渭F.
  3. Inductor Selection:

    • Select an inductor based on the desired output current and switching frequency.
    • Recommended inductance range: 1 渭H to 4.7 渭H.
  4. Feedback Resistor Network:

    • Set the output voltage using a resistor divider network connected to the FB pin.
    • Use the formula: ( V_ = V_ left(1 + fracright) )
    • Where ( V_ = 0.6V ).
  5. Enable Pin:

    • The enable pin can be used to control the on/off state of the regulator.
    • Apply a voltage greater than 1.2V to turn on the device.
    • Apply a voltage less than 0.8V to turn off the device.
  6. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation by using a heatsink or PCB copper area.
    • Monitor the thermal shutdown threshold to prevent overheating.
  7. Layout Considerations:

    • Keep input and output capacitors close to the IC to minimize parasitic inductance.
    • Use wide and short traces for power and ground connections.
    • Place the inductor close to the IC to reduce noise and improve efficiency.
  8. Testing and Validation:

    • Verify the output voltage and current under various load conditions.
    • Measure the efficiency and temperature rise during operation.
    • Check for any audible noise or oscillations in the circuit.
