Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure the mounting surface is clean and flat.
    • Use a heat sink if necessary to dissipate heat, especially for high current applications.
    • Tighten the mounting screw to the recommended torque to avoid overheating.
  2. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the anode (A) and cathode (K) terminals correctly to the load circuit.
    • Apply the gate trigger signal (G) with respect to the cathode (K).
    • Ensure the gate trigger current (IGT) and voltage (VGT) are within the specified limits.
  3. Operating Conditions:

    • Do not exceed the maximum repetitive peak off-state voltage (VDRM) or the maximum RMS on-state current (IT(RMS)).
    • Monitor the junction temperature (TJ) to ensure it does not exceed the maximum limit.
    • Use appropriate cooling methods to maintain the device within its operational temperature range.
  4. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place within the specified storage temperature range (TSTG).
  5. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical damage.
    • Use proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection to prevent damage from static electricity.
  6. Testing:

    • Test the device under controlled conditions to ensure it meets the specified parameters.
    • Refer to the datasheet for detailed testing procedures and guidelines.
