Instructions for Using L298N(XBLW):

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the Vcc pin to a 5V power supply for the logic circuit.
    • Connect the VMOT pin to a power supply suitable for your motor (5V to 46V).
  2. Motor Connections:

    • Connect the motor terminals to the OUT1 and OUT2 pins for one motor, and OUT3 and OUT4 for another if using both channels.
  3. Control Signals:

    • Apply control signals to IN1, IN2, IN3, and IN4 to control the direction of the motors.
      • For forward motion: Set IN1 HIGH and IN2 LOW (for Motor A); Set IN3 HIGH and IN4 LOW (for Motor B).
      • For reverse motion: Set IN1 LOW and IN2 HIGH (for Motor A); Set IN3 LOW and IN4 HIGH (for Motor B).
      • To stop the motor: Set both input pins for the respective motor LOW or HIGH simultaneously.
  4. Enable Pins:

    • Use the ENA and ENB pins to enable or disable the output stages.
      • Set ENA and ENB HIGH to enable the respective motor driver.
      • Set ENA and ENB LOW to disable the respective motor driver.
  5. Heat Sink:

    • For continuous operation at higher currents, ensure proper heat dissipation using a heat sink.
  6. Protection:

    • The L298N includes thermal shutdown and overcurrent protection, but avoid prolonged operation under fault conditions to prevent damage.
  7. Grounding:

    • Ensure all grounds are connected together for stable operation.
