Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure proper heat sinking to manage junction temperature, especially under high current conditions.
    • Use recommended torque for screw terminals to avoid overheating or mechanical failure.
  2. Gate Drive:

    • Apply a gate trigger current (IG(T)) of at least 10 mA to ensure reliable turn-on.
    • The gate trigger voltage (VG(T)) should be at least 2.5 V.
  3. Overcurrent Protection:

    • Implement overcurrent protection to prevent damage from excessive currents exceeding the peak on-state current (ITSM).
  4. Thermal Management:

    • Monitor the junction temperature (TJ) to ensure it stays within the specified range (-65掳C to 125掳C).
    • Use thermal management techniques such as heatsinks and cooling fans if necessary.
  5. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place with temperatures between -65掳C and 150掳C.
    • Handle with care to avoid mechanical stress or damage to the leads.
  6. Electrical Isolation:

    • Ensure proper electrical isolation to prevent short circuits and ensure safe operation.
  7. Testing:

    • Perform initial testing at low currents and voltages to verify correct operation before applying full load conditions.
