Instructions for Use:

  1. Circuit Connection:

    • Input Pin (IN): Connect to the input power supply.
    • Ground Pin (GND): Connect to the common ground.
    • Output Pin (OUT): Connect to the load or circuit requiring regulated voltage.
  2. Capacitors:

    • Input Capacitor: A 10渭F electrolytic capacitor is recommended between the input pin and ground to filter out noise and stabilize the input voltage.
    • Output Capacitor: A 10渭F electrolytic capacitor is recommended between the output pin and ground to stabilize the output voltage and reduce ripple.
  3. Heat Dissipation:

    • For high current applications, ensure proper heat dissipation by using a heatsink. The thermal resistance from the junction to the ambient air (胃ja) should be considered to avoid overheating.
  4. Input Voltage:

    • Ensure the input voltage is at least 2V higher than the output voltage to maintain regulation. The maximum input voltage should not exceed 35V.
  5. Output Current:

    • The U840 can provide up to 1A of continuous output current. For higher currents, consider using a more powerful regulator or multiple regulators in parallel.
  6. Operating Temperature:

    • The operating temperature range is -40掳C to 125掳C. Ensure the ambient temperature does not exceed these limits to prevent damage to the device.
  7. Storage Temperature:

    • Store the U840 in a dry place with temperatures ranging from -65掳C to 150掳C.
  8. Mounting:

    • Mount the U840 on a PCB or heatsink using appropriate mounting hardware. Ensure good thermal contact if using a heatsink.
  9. Testing:

    • After assembly, test the circuit to ensure the output voltage is stable and within the specified range. Check for any excessive heating or unusual behavior.
