Instructions for Use

  1. Handling and Storage:

    • Store the switches in a dry, cool environment with a temperature range of -55掳C to 125掳C and humidity between 5% and 95% RH.
    • Handle the switches with care to avoid damage to the contacts or actuator.
  2. Mounting:

    • Ensure the PCB is clean and free of contaminants before mounting the switch.
    • Use a soldering iron with a temperature setting appropriate for surface mount components (typically 300掳C to 350掳C).
    • Apply solder to the pads and place the switch carefully to avoid misalignment.
    • Inspect the solder joints for proper wetting and avoid excessive solder to prevent short circuits.
  3. Operation:

    • The switch is designed for manual operation using the slider actuator.
    • Apply the operating force (0.5N typical) to the actuator to switch between the NO (Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed) contacts.
    • Do not exceed the mechanical life of 100,000 cycles or the electrical life of 50,000 cycles to ensure reliable performance.
  4. Testing:

    • Test the switch for continuity between the contacts using a multimeter.
    • Verify that the contact resistance does not exceed 50m惟 and the insulation resistance is at least 100M惟.
    • Perform a dielectric withstand test at 500V AC RMS to ensure the switch can handle the specified voltage.
  5. Disposal:

    • Dispose of the switch according to local regulations and guidelines for electronic waste.
    • If the switch is RoHS compliant, it should be handled as per the RoHS directive for disposal and recycling.
